Library Construction & Sequencing: Next Generation Sequencing

The Northwest Genomics Center (NWGC) utilizes Illumina sequencing instruments, which employ sequencing-by-synthesis technology. This method of sequencing allows for massively parallel sequencing to take place in an efficient and cost effective manner.

The NWGC currently operates the following platforms:

  • NovaSeq X Plus featuring XLEAP-SBS chemistry
  • NovaSeq 6000s featuring patterned flow cells
  • NextSeq500
  • MiSeqs
