About Us

The Northwest Genomics Center (NWGC) is a premier next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genotyping center located within the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. We provide top quality services and have the capacity for large-scale, high-throughput sequencing and genotyping, including custom projects. The NWGC is led by Dr. Evan Eichler, PhD, Professor of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington, a leader in the field of genomics.

The NWGC was established in 2009 and directed by Dr. Debbie Nickerson until December 2021. She was passionate about the application of genomic sequence data to precision medicine, and her work continues through her dedicated team and colleagues.
